Molly Mahoney took control of the 1,600-meter run down the back-straight of the final lap. Mahoney, who had finished second in the Class 1, District 5 meet at Marshall the week before, won the sectional race in 5 minutes, 52.58 seconds, over a second and a half faster than New Franklin's Madilyn Lyons (5:54.12)...
