Claudine Petty, 79, lifelong Concordia area resident, died Jan. 8, 2010, at Kansas City Hospice House. Funeral services were held Tuesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Concordia with the Rev. R. Lee Hagan officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Petty was born on April 13, 1930, near Emma. She was the daughter of Julius and Marie Jungklaus Roepe. She married Homer Petty on June 15, 1947. She helped her husband with his photography business. She served as a Cub Scout den mother, and was a past member of VFW Post 5649 Auxiliary. She was a member of St. Paul's church and Ladies Aid 1934.

Mrs. Petty is survived by two sons, Dennis Petty of Concordia and Randy Petty of Brighton; a daughter, Mrs. Russell (Linda) Brackman of Windsor; three sisters, Minerva Tebbenkamp and Ruth Tebben-kamp of Concordia and Mabel Dedeke of Leavenworth, Kan.; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Feb. 9, 2003; three brothers, Ralph Roepe, Homer Roepe and Herbert Roepe; five sisters, Lorna Schlickelman, Alleen Hurd, Mildred Lohmann, Evelyn Wodrich and Gertrude Bruhn; and twin great-grandsons in infancy.

The pallbearers were Joel Brackman, Curtis Lohmann, Kent Petty, Ronald Roepe, Ken Wodrich, Larry Dedeke, Jerry Sanders, Jeff Tebbenkamp.The family suggests memor-ial contributions to Kansas City Hospice House or a family choice.

Arrangements were made by Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home, Concordia.
