Elma Bokelmann

Elma Bokelmann, 91, lifelong Concordia resident, died March 30, 2010, at the Lutheran Nursing Home in Concordia. Funeral services were held Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with the Rev. R. Lee Hagan officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Bokelmann was born on July 17, 1918, at Concordia. She was the daughter of Herman and Martha Fuchs Klingenberg. She married Edgar M. Heidorn on June 8, 1941. He was killed in World War II on April 16, 1945. She married Herbert Bokelmann on Oct. 20, 1948. He died Feb. 3, 1993. She was a member of St. Paul's church and its 1912 Ladies Aid.

Mrs. Bokelmann is survived by a son, Gary Bokelmann of Jupiter, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. Bruce (Lois) Moreland of St.  Louis; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a twin sister, Evelyn Meyer; and two brothers, Harold Klingenberg and Leland Klingenberg.

The pallbearers were Roger Bushman, Loren Limback, Ronald Klingenberg, Rick Klingenberg, Lester Roepe and Roger Meyer.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Lu-theran Good Shepherd Home.

Arrangements were made by Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home, Concordia.
