Arlene Joyce Dankenbring Kueker, 68, of Sweet Springs, died May 1, 2010, at University Hospital in Columbia. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. today at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sweet Springs, with the Rev. Dan Wing officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs.

Mrs. Kuecker was born Dec. 16, 1941, in Alma. She was the daughter of Henry and Hilda Gieselman Dankenbring. She was a 1960 graduate of Concordia High School. On April 18, 1969, she married Wilbur "Bill" Maurice Kueker, who preceded her in death on Feb. 15, 2002. She had lived in rural Sweet Springs most of her life, where she worked with her husband on their farm. She worked at Rival Manufacturing in Sweet Springs for 15 years. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in rural Sweet Springs.

Survivors include two sons, Kevin Kueker of Sandy Hook, Miss., and John Kueker of Sweet Springs; one daughter, Amy Fiedler of Sweet Springs; three brothers, Ivan Dankenbring of Gilbert, Ariz., Larry Dankenbring of Mesa, Ariz. and David Dankenbring of Menomenee Falls, Wis.; three sisters, Bernice Langkrahr, Lora Burrow and Cathy Bell, all of Concordia; and one grandson.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Darrel Dankenbring and Leroy Dankenbring.

The family suggests memorials may be made to family choice.
