Mayor makes board liaison appointments
With two new members of the Concordia Board of Aldermen, newly-elected Mayor Don Holtcamp had to make some adjustments in regards as to who will serve as the aldermen's liaison to which municipal boards.
In their role as a liaison, the individual aldermen sit in on the meetings of the municipal boards and report their decisions and recommendations back to the full board of aldermen. Alderman Mark Schakenberg will serve on the Planning and Zoning, Tourism and Museum boards. Alderman Homer Nierman will serve on the Lake, Water and Street boards. Alderman Ruthie Fischer will serve on the Park Board. Alderman Kevin Reinwald will serve on the Police Advisory Board.
Holtcamp said several of the boards have open seats and additional appointments to them are expected in the coming weeks.
