Virginia Ann Kramer
Virginia Ann Kramer, 75, of Alma died June 8, 2010, at her home. Funeral services were held Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church at Alma, with the Rev. Fred C. Hertwig officiating. Burial was in Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Higginsville.
Mrs. Kramer was born June 7, 1935, at Waverly. She was the daughter of Henry and Georgia Phillips Chrisman. She married Walter Edward Kramer on Sept. 2, 1956. She attended Hazel Hill Elementary School, was a 1953 graduate of Santa Fe High School at Alma and attended Central Missouri State University at Warrensburg for one year. She worked at United Missouri Bank at Kansas City for two years. She later worked for various flower shops and had her own house cleaning business before retiring in 2009. She was a member of Trinity church, the Altar Guild and the Guild and taught Sunday school. She was a 4-H Flower Leader, a charter member of the Green Thumb Garden Club of Alma and a member of Master Gardeners of Lafayette County.
Mrs. Kramer is survived by two sons, Steve Kramer of Houston, Texas, and Herman Kramer of Blackburn; two daughters, Mrs. Rodney (Carol) Roepe and Mrs. Clark (Holly) Bredehoeft of Alma; two sisters, Joyce Murphy Epps of Alma and Mrs. Steve (Cheri) Schuette of Cuba; and 11 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Oct. 2, 2009.
Her grandchildren served as pallbearers.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the church, the Altar Guild or a family choice.
