Jimmy Dale Lange, 69, of Richmond, and formerly of Concordia, died Aug. 1, 2010, at Apple Ridge Care Center at Waverly. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Campbell-Lewis Chapel at Concordia with the Rev. Russell Shoemaker officiating. Burial will be in Knob Noster Cemetery.

Mr. Lange was born on Feb. 27, 1941, at Green Ridge. He was the son of Archie and Mary Kuhlman Lange. He married Judy Trigg in 1959, and they later divorced. He married Juanita Gay Houston on Oct. 13, 1975. He lived in Concordia for many years. He attended Concordia High School and was a member of Zion Hill Methodist Church near Ernest-ville. He worked at a steel mill in Kansas City for several years, farmed with his father, owned and operated a grocery business in Higginsville and worked in construction in Richmond. He was a bell ringer for the Salvation Army for three years.

Mr. Lange is survived by his wife; two daughters, Sheila Smith and Kim Lange of Concordia; his mother of Concordia; a sister, Shirley Beard of Concordia; three grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father; a son, Brian Lange; and a sister, Rose Ann Lange.

The family suggests memorial contributions to a family choice.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
