Nadine Marie Gieseke, 88, of Santa Rosa, Calif., died July 28, 2010, at her home. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church at Santa Rosa.

Mrs. Gieseke was born on Aug. 5, 1921, at Concordia. She was the daughter of Ben and Lilly Rehkop Kueck. She married Louis Frederick "Fred" Gieseke Jr. on Feb. 15, 1947. They lived at various army bases until 1961. They lived at Concord, Calif., from 1961 to 2003, and she worked at Applied Radiation at Walnut Creek, Calif., and later for the Contra Costa Resource Conservation District. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church at Pleasant Hill, Calif., for more than 40 years, serving on the altar guild and attending Bible study.

Mrs. Gieseke is survived by two sons, Steve Gieseke of Boise, Idaho, and Tim Gieseke of Santa Rosa; a daughter, Chrislyn Carson of Windsor, Calif.; a sister, LaFern Haunschild of El Dorado Hills, Calif.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Jan. 10, 2001; and two brothers, Holmes Kueck and Leslie Kueck.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Sutter VNA Hospice or the church preschool, both at Santa Rosa.
