Ida Marie Harms, 95, of Warrensburg died Aug. 11, 2010, at Warrensburg Manor Care Center. Funeral services were held Monday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church at Warrensburg with the Rev. Joel R. Kurz officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery at Sweet Springs.

Mrs. Harms was born on Jan. 21, 1915, at Knob Noster. She was the daughter of Frank and Lydia Colson Brandt. She married Omar E. "Doc" Harms on Feb. 28, 1933, at Higginsville. She owned and operated a store in Dunksburg for 16 years and worked at Burlington Manufacturing Company in Concordia for 10 years. She was a member of Bethlehem church and a past member of Immanuel Lutheran Church at Brinkville.

Mrs. Harms is survived by a son, Roger Paul Harms of Knob Noster; a brother, Emory Brandt of Sedalia; two sisters, Lena Buchanan of Higginsville and Ethel Lyzen of Hale; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Feb. 26, 1978; an infant daughter, Karen Marie; a sister, Myrtle Jercinovich; and three brothers, Loyd Brandt, Everett Brandt and Wilford Brandt.

The pallbearers were Mike Fuller, Steve Harms, Scott Harms, Luke Hagle, Bill Storck and Elmer Storck.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Johnson County Hospice or to the church.

Arrangements were made by Sweeney-Phillips and Holdren Funeral Home, Warrensburg.
