Mabel Hollrah, 89, of Sweet Springs died Oct. 13, 2010, at University Hospital and Clinics at Columbia. Funeral services were held Monday at Imman-uel Lutheran Church at Sweet Springs. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery at Sweet Springs.
Mrs. Hollrah was born on Dec. 29, 1920, at Emma. She was the daughter of Charles and Sophia Loges Meyer. She married Harold L. Hollrah on Jan. 10, 1941. She was a lifelong Emma and Sweet Springs resident. She was a member of Immanuel church.
Mrs. Hollrah is survived by two sons, Bob Hollrah and Dick Hollrah of Sweet Springs; a daughter, Ruth Ann Hilbrenner of Concordia; a brother, Wilbert "Bill" Meyer of Emma; two sisters, Leona Fangman of Sweet Springs and Mary Ann Howard of Holt's Summit; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband on July 9, 1993; five brothers, Doug Meyer, Lester Meyer, Howard Meyer, Roy Meyer and Marvin Meyer; and a sister in infancy, Alverna Meyer.
The pallbearers were Dick Hollrah, Bob Hollrah, Rolland Keeney, Jerry Hamilton, Ken Hollingsworth and Randy Bargfrede.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the church.
