Concordia Lions hammer Lone Jack

Kinzer Madison rushed for 192 yards and four touchdowns, leading the Concordia Lions to a dominating 38-6 victory over Lone Jack in Concordia Saturday.

Madison had touchdown runs of six, 45, 15 and 58 yards for scores. He also had other carries of 48, eight and 17 yards.

Another touchdown for the Lions, who led 26-6 at the half, was scored by Kade Meineka on a 42-yard run. Meineka rushed for 62 yards in two totes.

Cameron Cooper rushed four times for 49 yards from scrimmage and also ran in a one-point conversion.

The other TD for the Lions was scored by Lane Mueller on a nine-yard run. He finished with 11 yards in two carries from scrimmage and a one-point conversion run.

Defensively, the Lions were led in solo tackles by Meineka with eight. Cooper, Madison and Cole McCoy each had three solo tackles, Mueller two and Turner Yount, Carter Warren, Tanner Wilson, Cameron Kelly and Coleton Rosser one apiece. McCoy also contributed three assists, Cooper and Mueller two each and Madison, Warren, Kelly and Logan Hemme one each.

Yount recovered a fumble that was caused by Madison. Yount also intercepted a pass.

The 2-0 Lions play Saturday at 11 a.m. versus the Lexington Tigers at Lone Jack.
