Library reopen delayed

Thursday, January 19, 2012

Debbie Kirchhoff, director of the Concordia Trails Regional Library Branch, announced Tuesday that plans to reopen the facility are having to be altered a bit.

The library closed earlier this month so that new lighting could be installed, the first major remodeling to the building since the library moved there in 2008. Initially, the work was planned to be completed by the first part of this week.

Posting to the library's Facebook page, Kirchhoff wrote "If you have ever remodeled your home, you will understand...It is not looking good for reopening the library tomorrow."

For those who have asked to have books reserved, a number of them have arrived. Those patrons are asked to call first at 463-2277 and then come to the library's back door to retrieve them.
