Britt's Minors win two of first three

The Britt's Minor League baseball team won two of its first three games earlier this month.

Britt's opened with a 17-6 victory over State Bank of Missouri of Alma on May 7, edged Mulch's Country Mart 9-8 on May 9 and dropped a 9-5 decision to Santa Fe on May 14.

Britt's opened a 10-2 lead after two innings, cruising to the win.

Kyzer Gann-Vega, Jona-than Miller, Peyton Arnold and Jake Tagtmeyer each had a single for Britt's. Gann-Vega, Carter Singleton and Troy Brandt each had three runs scored, Austin Droege and Ar-nold two each and Miller, Braxton McGinnis, Andrew Kueck and Tagtmeyer one each.

Singleton (the winner), Miller, Gann-Vega and Droege all pitched. Singleton and Mil-ler each fanned four and Gann-Vega and Droege two each.

Britt's 9, Mulch's 8

After surrendering two runs and the lead in the top of the fifth, Britt's scored two times in the bottom half for the win.

Droege had the only hit, a double, for Britt's.

Gann-Vega and Singleton each scored two runs and Mil-ler, McGinnis, Andrew Kueck. Ethan Pfannkuch and Tagt-meyer one each. Droege drove in three runs and Gann-Vega, Singleton and Gage Rosser one each.

Singleton struck out 10 in 3-1/3 innings of mound work. Droege, who earned the win, fanned three in the final 1-2/3 frames.

Santa Fe 9, Britt's 5

Santa Fe held a 9-1 lead going to the bottom of the fifth.

Gann-Vega had the lone hit, a double, for Britt's. Gann-Ve-ga, Singleton, Droege and Tagtmeyer each had an RBI.

Singleton, who suffered the loss, fanned four. Miller, Droe-ge and Gann-Vega also pitched. Droege whiffed two and Miller one.
