Jeff McGinnis

Jeff McGinnis, 52, of Concordia died July 16, 2012, at his home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Concordia with the Rev. R. Lee Hagan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight at the church.

Mr. McGinnis was born June 11, 1960, at Lexington. He was the son of Larry and Marian R. Limback McGinnis. On July 24, 1982, he married Kimberli A. Cino. He was a 1978 graduate of Concordia High School. Following his marriage, he moved to Liberty and lived there until 1995. While in Liberty, he was an active member of the Southern Clay County Jaycees, serving in various positions at the local, regional, and state levels. After returning to Concordia, he was co-owner and operator of T.J.'s Auto Service at Concordia with his brother, Todd. He joined the Concordia Fire Protection District on Oct. 6, 1997, and Concordia Emergency Medical Service on Feb. 12, 2001. He was a girl's softball coach. He was a member of St. Paul's church and an active member of the Concordia community.

Mr. McGinnis is survived by his wife of the home; a son, Braxton K. McGinnis of the home; a daughter, Nicole R. McGinnis of the home; his father of Concordia; and two brothers, Rusty McGinnis and Todd McGinnis of Concordia.

He was preceded in death by his mother on Feb. 16, 2009.

The pallbearers will be David Limback, Daryl McGill, Rick Limback, Jason McGinnis, Cody Tyler and Darin McGinnis

The family requests memorial contributions to Saint Paul Lutheran High School, St. Paul's Lutheran School or the Concordia Fire Protection District.
