A Parkville man suffered moderate injuries Monday morning in a three-car accident at the intersection of Missouri Highway 23 and 20 near Alma, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol Report (MSHP).

The accident occurred at 10:29 a.m. when a 2011 Dodge minivan driven by Patricia Brandt of Concordia pulled out in front of a 2008 motorcycle driven by Albert R. Severino of Parkville at the intersection. Severino was ejected from the motorcycle and hit a stationary vehicle driven by Chad Ohrenberg of Concordia, the report states.

Severino was taken by air ambulance to Research Medical Center in Kansas City. The 37-year-old man was wearing a safety device, and the motorcycle was totaled.

Brandt and Ohrenberg were not injured in the accident. The minivan had moderate damage, and Ohrenberg's 2003 Ford has minor damage, according to the report.

The investigation continues with charges pending.
