Linda Sue Nevels, 62, of Higginsville died Aug. 10, 2012, at her home. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church at Higginsville with the Rev. Marcus Jauss officiating. Burial was in Higginsville City Cemetery.

Mrs. Nevels was born Nov. 25, 1949, at Higginsville. She was the daughter of Charles and Viola Lemler Mueller. She married Lee E. Nevels on July 4, 1969. She lived most of her life at Higginsville. She was a 1967 graduate of Lexington High School. She worked in the laundry department at Higginsville Habilitation Center, retiring in 2007. She was a member of Immanuel church.

Mrs. Nevels is survived by a son, Derek Nevels of Corder; two daughters, Mrs. Chris (De-Ann) Dillon of Higginsville and Mrs. Freddie (Denise) Limback of Alma; three brothers, Charles Mueller and Robert Mueller of Warrensburg and Wayne Mueller of Marshall; a sister, Margaret Meyer of Concordia; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband on June 1, 2003; and an infant brother.

The pallbearers were Jeremy Nevels, Curtiss Nevels, Terry Wade, Samuel Dillon, Warren Hawthorne and Keith White.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the church or the Letholt Dialysis Clinic.

Arrangements were made by Hoefer Funeral Home, Higginsville.
