Lexi Smith spearheaded an offensive explosion for the Lady Chiefs by scoring 11 first-half points as the Lady Chiefs built a 27-7 lead.

Even though they were out-scored 19-12 in the second half, the Lady Chiefs had a big enough cushion to still win by double digits.

Getting nine points from Smith in the first 16 minutes, the Lady Chiefs rolled to a 28-14 lead. They led 13-8 through one quarter.

The only fly in the ointment for the Lady Chiefs in the first half was their inability to hit free throws, missing eight of 11 tries.

The Lady Chiefs never missed a beat, however, as they built their lead to 42-20 with a quarter to play.

Smith paced the Lady Chiefs with 13 points. Brooke Barnett came off the bench to toss in 12 points.
