Lexi Smith pumped in a game-high 25 points, leading the Santa Fe Lady Chiefs to an easy 67-45 victory over Winston at North Central Missouri College in Trenton on Dec. 22.

The Lady Chiefs, getting six points each from Smith and Kylie Limback, hurried out to a 17-11 lead through the first eight minutes.

Brandy Beasley scored seven points and Smith five in the second quarter, the Lady Chiefs increasing their halftime lead to 33-21.

Smith hit four field goals and Kourtney Chiddix three, and the Lady Chiefs went on an 18-8 run in the third quarter, leading 51-29 going to the final stanza.

Smith finished with 10 field goals and five for seven from the free-throw line.

Beasley added 11 points and Limback 10. Barnett and Chiddix each finished with eight points.

The Lady Chiefs, 5-4, peppered the nets for 30 field goals and were seven for 13 from the charity stripe.

The Lady Chiefs are the No. 7 seed, taking on second-seeded and host Higginsville tonight at 7 in the first round of the Lafayette County Tournament. The game will be played in the east gym.
