Norville Lee Boyer, 71, of Colorado Springs, Colo., died Dec. 29, 2012, at Pikes Peak Hospice at Colorado Springs. Funeral services will be held Friday at Family of Christ Lutheran Church at Colorado Springs with the Rev. David Dyer officiating. The body was cremated.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Jan. 19, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Chapel at Sweet Springs.

Mr. Boyer was born June 18, 1941, at Festus. He was the son of Norville H. and Emily Donnell Boyer. He graduated from Festus High School and attended one year at University of Missouri-Columbia. He married Linda Roberts in 1963. They divorced. He married Norma J. Dierking Schlueter on Dec. 29, 1979. He worked 25 years for AT&T, retiring in December 1989. He then worked for the Department of Defense, retiring in March 2006. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force.

Mr. Boyer is survived by his wife of the home; three sons, Bret L. Boyer of Colorado Springs, Scott D. Boyer of Broomfield, Colo., and Wesley J. Boyer of Pearland, Texas; two stepsons, Craig A. Schlueter of Buckeye, Ariz., and Jeff Schlueter of Concordia; and four grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial contributions to a family choice or to the church building fund.
