Two Concordia teens were injured in a two-vehicle wreck early Sunday morning, on a rural road approximately one mile south of Edwin A. Pape Lake.

The accident occurred at 12 a.m. when a 2007 Dodge Ram 3500, driven by Dustin S. Berry, 24, of Saint Ansgar, Iowa, and a 2000 Ford Crown Victoria, driven by Ethan G. Kueck, 19, of Concordia, met at a hillcrest. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the front driver side of both vehicles collided.

Kueck was transported by Lifeflight Air Ambulance to Centerpoint Medical Center for serious injuries, the report said. The report didn't indicate that Berry suffered any injuries, however Concordia resident Cory A. Howard, 19, an occupant of the truck, sustained moderate injuries. Howard was transported to I-70 Community Hospital, in Sweet Springs, for treatment.

In addition to MSHP, Concordia Police Department and Concordia EMS also responded to the scene. The wreck occurred on NE 1125 Road, 0.1 miles west of Route 23 in Johnson County.
