A Ford Drive 4UR School event beckoned community members to the Saint Paul Lutheran High School campus Friday afternoon, Oct. 11, where their participation added up to funding.

The Meyer Motors-organized event drew more than 200 participants.

"This is a really fun day for us," said Gloria Burrow, public relations and communications specialist for SPLHS.

Friday was the school's homecoming, and activities for current students, alumni and family -- such as Game Day in the auditorium and letter jacket viewing -- took place simultaneously.

SPLHS raised $20 per test drive, ultimately raising more than $4,000.
