Lorna Oetting, 90, of Concordia, died March 20, 2014, at the Lutheran Nursing Home, in Concordia. Funeral services were held Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, in Concordia, with the Rev. R. Lee Hagan officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Oetting was born March 31, 1923, at Concordia. She was the daughter of Otto A. and Dora Weber Hinck. She married Omar W. Oetting on Oct. 12, 1945, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, in Emma. She lived in the Concordia and Emma areas her entire life. She was a member of St. Paul's church and its Ladies Aid #3. She was a member of the Concordia American Legion Post 258 Auxiliary.
Mrs. Oetting is survived by a son, Steven Oetting, of Concordia; two daughters, Mrs. Roger (Myra) Steffens, of Blackburn, and Mrs. Charles (Kathleen) Paulson, of Mesa, Ariz.; a brother, Leonard J. Hinck, of Concordia; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Oct. 17, 1997; twin brothers, Ralph Hinck and Earl Hinck; and a sister, Elsie Hinck.
Her grandchildren served as pallbearers -- Greg Steffens, Brian Steffens, David Steffens, Michael Paulson, Sean Oetting, Clinton Oetting and Stephanie Oetting.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the church or the Lutheran Good Shepherd Home.
