Harry F. Schreiman, 82, of Waverly, died Aug. 17, 2014, at Apple Ridge Care Center, in Waverly. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Campbell-Lewis Chapel, in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Inurnment will be at Three Groves Cemetery, in rural Waverly. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Schreiman was born Feb. 4, 1932, in Waverly. He was the son of Ben and Bertha Liese Schreiman. He lived in Lafayette County his entire life and was a 1949 graduate of Alma High School. On Sept. 25, 1949, he married Estherlene Riley. He farmed in the Waverly and Alma areas for many years; and he and his wife were part owners of Schreiman Market, at Waverly. He was also a truck driver, retiring in 2001. He was president of Alma Telephone Company when it switched from crank to dial, and he served on the Waverly Special Road District. He was a lifelong member of Three Groves Baptist Church.

He was survived by his wife of the home; three sons, John Schreiman, Steven Schreiman and Mark Schreiman, of Waverly; a daughter, Mrs. Kelly (Harriet) Thorp, of Grand Pass; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Tom "Crowbar" Schreiman; and three brothers, Kenneth Schreiman, Argyl Schreiman and Ben Schreiman.

Memorials may be made to the cemetery fund or Apple Ridge Care Center.
