Firefighters respond to vehicle fire

Wednesday, December 31, 2014
Volunteer firefighters with the Concordia Fire Protection District douse a vehicle's engine parked at Bumper to Bumper Auto Parts, in Concordia, Wednesday morning, Dec. 31. A fire had started within the engine compartment, according to Fire Chief Mark Tolias. While a few fire trucks were called on, only one was needed, due to other trucks being cancelled or the response downgraded. Tolias spent a few minutes talking with the vehicle's driver to ascertain if she had someone who could pick her up and to assess her emotional state. (Charles Dunlap/The Concordian)
