City places liens on two properties
The city of Concordia will be applying two liens against real estate after the Concordia Board of Aldermen authorized the mayor to sign them Monday, June 15. The liens are regarding abatements that were conducted, according to City Administrator Dale Klussman.
The first pertained to lots No. 8 and 9 of block H of the Martin Bruns Addition, located at 116 S. Main St. It was abated May 11. The owner of record is William and Kathryn Henning, and the amount totals $2,022.25. That amount includes $1,898.25 for the removal of weeds and grass, $100 in administrative costs, and $24 for filing fees.
The second lien pertains to mowing the city did May 22 on South St. Louis Street. The owner of record showed the estate of Mark Herzog. Police Chief Jim Lynn confirmed it is now in probate. The total is $274, including $150 in mowing costs, $100 administrative and $24 for filing fees.
