Midway would not be dispatched easily, so despite winning in straight sets, the Lady Chiefs were taken to the brink in both instances.
It would all come together when Santa Fe committed just four errors and had a .412 hitting percentage in the second set.
Sadie Limback led the charge with 16 kills and hit .414. Josey Burton added seven kills. Katarina Langan had a team-high 19 assists and three digs.

The Lady Gremlins matched the Lady Chiefs stride for stride through the first two sets. Once again, clean offense in the final set proved to be the difference, with Santa Fe tallying just a pair of hitting errors and posting a .333 percentage.
Limback again proved a force at the net with 11 kills and four blocks, but she also handed out eight assists and grabbed four digs.
Burton racked up seven kills and recorded a pair of service aces. Carrigan Smith also had two aces to go along with six kills and five digs. Langan matched Limback and dished out eight assists.
The Lady Chiefs will look to improve on their 6-1 start by hosting Lone Jack tonight in their I-70 Conference opener before participating in the Smith-Cotton Tournament on Saturday.
