Arthur O. Ehlers Jr., 91, of Cheyenne, Wyo., formerly of Concordia, died Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016, at CMRC Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 28, 2016, St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Ernestville, with the Rev. Walter Snyder officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concordia. Born May 18, 1925, in Johnson County, Mo., Arthur was the son of the late Arthur Ehlers Sr. and Leona K. Poese Ehlers. He was raised in Johnson County, moving to Lafayette County in the 1960s, and lived in Cheyenne, Wyo., since June 2016. On Oct. 19, 1951, in Concordia, he married Edith Marie Warren who preceded him in death on July 7, 2000. He worked at the Higginsville Processing Plant for 34 years, retiring in 1968, and was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church.

Survivors include three grandchildren, Lisa Rose and husband Jeffrey of Cheyenne, Wyo., Mark Allen France of Kansas City, Mo., and Misty Dawn Getman and husband Larry of Aullville, Mo.; seven great-grandchildren, Madeline Lea Martinez, Zachary Thomas Rose, Brandy France, Dalton France, Mackenzie Lane Getman, Paige Getman and Wyatt Getman; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Arthur was preceded in death by a stepson, Robert Allen France; two brothers, Clarence Ehlers and Arbie Dean Ehlers; and one sister, Betty Jean Rogers.
