CFM softball bounces LHRC for 3rd straight win
The Concordia Farm Mutual Sluggers have begun the 2017 Little League softball season 3-0, with the last victory coming in a 15-1 thrashing of Lafayette Regional Health Center (Lexington) on Friday, May 12.
The Sluggers got five runs in each of the first three innings to end the game early via the 10-run rule. Addison Roepe pitched the first two innings to earn the win, allowing the only run for LRHC on a hit and five walks while striking out five. Olivia Hemme was perfect in the last two innings and racked up six K’s.
Emily Wilkens and Abi Hartwig led the way for CFM with three runs scored. Hemme, Brenna Meyer, Delaney Nelson and Abby Jones all scored twice. Roepe collected a pair of hits, including a double, and a pair of RBIs.
