A great season on the golf course for the Concordia Oriolesí Kade Meineka and Landon Mulligan ended with an appearance and some solid performances at the MSHSAA Class 1 State Tournament at Silo Ridge Golf Course in Bolivar on Monday, May 15, and Tuesday, May 16.

Meineka, who had qualified for his third straight state tournament, tore up the 18-hole course both days of the tournament, shooting a 79 against the par-72 course on day one before following up with a 78 the next day.

Meineka finished in a tie for sixth in the 95-player field, just seven strokes off the winning total of 150 posted by Logan Smith of La Plata. Only four scores were better than Meinekaís, who earned All-State honors for his handiwork.

Mulligan used his first state tournament to fire his season average of 91 on the first day of competition and better that score by four strokes on day two. Mulliganís total score of 178 was good for a tie for 43rd, but only 21 scores were better.
