Public meeting planned in Oak Grove to discuss proposed bridge project

Monday, June 19, 2017

The City of Oak Grove and the Missouri Department of Transportation are hosting a public information meeting for the new diverging diamond project at I-70 and Route F. A meeting is scheduled for June 20 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Civic Center, located at 2100 S. Broadway, in Oak Grove.

MoDOT is recommending rehabilitating the bridge and making safety improvements to the interchange, which include changing configuration into a diverging diamond. The age and condition of this bridge requires extensive repair so it can continue to serve motorists. Rehabilitation of the bridge also provides an opportunity to improve pedestrian access and the efficiency and safety of the interchange by converting it to a diverging diamond. When complete, this will also be the Kansas City districtís ninth diverging diamond interchange. Learn more at www.modot.org/kansascity.
