Robert A. Iserman
Robert A. Iserman, 91, of Concordia, Missouri, died Sunday, July 2, 2017, at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017, at St. Paulís Lutheran Church in Concordia. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concordia. Memorials are suggested to St. Paulís Lutheran Church or The Lutheran Good Shepherd Home. Born March 31, 1926 in Waverly, Iowa, he was the son of the late Arthur Iserman and Viola Hoppenworth Iserman. Bob was raised in the Waverly, Iowa, area where he was a 1944 graduate of Waverly High School. On October 17, 1948, he married Norma Nadine Kleinschmidt, who survives of the home. In earlier years, Bob worked in the creamery business until he moved to Concordia 52 years ago. After moving to Concordia he purchased the Concordia Harness & Shoe Shop, which he owned and operated until his retirement. He was an avid horseman most of his life and was a member of Concordia Saddle Club. Bob was an active member of St. Paulís Lutheran Church, where he served as an elder, treasurer, and in numerous other positions. He was a member of Concordia Lionís Club for over 40 years as well as serving on other civic boards.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Julianne Dieckhoff and husband Dale of Concordia, and Joel Iserman and wife Billie of Laurie; six grandchildren: Drew Dieckhoff and wife Margaret, Rochelle McBride and husband Mark, Shauna Borgstadt and husband Michael, Justin Iserman and wife Mandy, Rebecca Nash and husband Nick, and Kerby McKnight and husband Kory; 12 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Vern Iserman.
