Concordia Police Department announces personnel changes
The Concordia Police Department announced, in a release dated Aug. 10, that an officer had resigned and another had been placed on probationary status related to an incident that occurred earlier this year.
Officer Kim Davis has been placed on probationary status for six months, and will receive increased training in department incident command practices during that time.
In addition, Sergeant Richard Clayton will resume duties as a Concordia Police officer.
Officer Jacob Summers has resigned from the department, effective immediately.
All actions are being taken as the result of conversations with personnel following the review of an incident on July 14, 2017, and subsequent manhunt as submitted to the Concordia Board of Aldermen in executive session on August 7, 2017.
