Paving Operations on I-70 In Lafayette County Will Impact Traffic Beginning Aug. 14
LAFAYETTE COUNTY – Paving crews will be working on approximately nine miles of I-70 in Lafayette County near Odessa beginning Monday Aug. 14. They will begin working on westbound lanes and will impact traffic overnight from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. They will then switch to eastbound lanes from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. However drivers may encounter closed lanes and slow traffic at any time on this route. Follow posted speed limits and use caution in the area. All work is weather dependent.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
