Lillian Marie Kresse
Lillian Marie Kresse, 96, of rural Concordia, Missouri, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017, at Lafayette Regional Health Center in Lexington.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017, at Concordia Baptist Church with Rev. Mearl Laswell officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Monday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concordia. Pallbearers will be Shawn Tompkins, Clinton Hubbard, Shane Kelso, Steven Helt, J.D. Diamond and Jim Diamond.

Born Dec. 30, 1920, in rural Concordia, she was the daughter of the late John C. Helt and Mayme Sivils Helt. Lillian lived in the rural Concordia area her entire life and was a member of the 1939 graduating class of Concordia High School. On December 10, 1941, she married Everett M. Kresse, who preceded her in death on April 14, 2003. Lillian worked at the Concordia and Higginsville Garment Factories and The Lutheran Good Shepherd Home, but first and foremost, cared for her family and was a homemaker. She was a longtime member of Concordia Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children, Donna Kresse of Raytown, John W. Kresse and wife Linda of Higginsville, Rebecca Kresse of Warrensburg, Keith E. Kresse and wife Katherine of Sunrise Beach, Karl D. Kresse and wife Brenda of Higginsville, Tresa Kelso and husband Darrell of Warrensburg, and Tammie Kresse-Lowry and husband Mark of Kansas City; 12 grandchildren, including Raven Hubbard, who was raised in Lillianís home; 12 great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; one sister, Julia Froeschle of Kansas City; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Rita Kresse; one granddaughter, Amber Kresse; two brothers, Alfred Helt and Leland Helt; and one sister, Mildred L. Buesing.
