Judith ‘Judy’ Steinkuhler
Judith (Judy) Steinkuhler, 71, of rural Concordia, died Friday, Nov. 10, 2017, at I-70 Community Hospital in Sweet Springs.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Ernestville, with Pastor James Dahlke officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah Cemetery at Elmwood in Saline County. Pallbearers are Richard Mueller, Dick Bottoms, Gary Bottoms, Bob Bottoms, Leland Hardison and Tim Clemens. Honorary pallbearers are Jack Crawford, Jonathan Ballenger, Tom Mueller and Daryl Mueller.
Born May 8, 1946, in Marshall, Judy was the daughter of the late Harvey E. Hardison and Louise Mueller Hardison. She lived in the Concordia area most of her life and was a 1964 graduate of Concordia High School. On Nov. 16, 1968, she married Jerry L. Steinkuhler who survives of the home. She worked at Concordia Creamery, Central Drug Store and retired as vice-president of Concordia Bank after over 40 years. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church where she was a former Sunday school teacher. She had been active in Cub Scouts and Saint Paul Lutheran High School Booster Club; a member of Concordia Chamber of Commerce, serving as treasurer; and served on the Lafayette County Planning and Zoning Commission and on the Compliance Committee for Missouri Bankers Association.
In addition to her husband, Jerry, Judy is survived by one son, Joe Steinkuhler and wife Teagan of Concordia; one daughter, Jae Steinkuhler of Concordia; one grandson, Colton Steinkuhler; one brother, Larry Hardison and wife Rita of Concordia; and several nieces and nephews.
