Violet Mae Trautman
Violet Mae Trautman, 95, of rural Sweet Springs, Missouri, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017, at I-70 Community Hospital in Sweet Springs.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sweet Springs with Pastor Dan Wing officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Sweet Springs. Pallbearers are Jerry Trautman, Douglas Trautman, Aristote DeMoss, Nicholas DeMoss, Carl Bonar, Craig Bonar, Christian Bonar, Travis Hinck and Bradly Greer.

Born Nov. 28, 1922, in rural Pettis County, she was the daughter of the late August Kuhlman and Ella Kuecker Kuhlman. On Aug. 15, 1946, she married Raymond H. Trautman, who preceded her in death on April 26, 2011. Violet lived in the rural Sweet Springs area most of her life and worked as a cook, in addition to being a homemaker. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and its choir, and the S.A.T. Club in Sweet Springs.
Survivors include three children: Connie Bonar and husband Don of rural Sweet Springs, Donna Hinck and husband Greg of rural Sweet Springs, and Debbie Greer and husband John of Sweet Springs; her daughter-in-law, Marilyn Trautman of Houstonia; her son-in-law, Fred DeMoss of Ionia; 16 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and two nephews, Gary Martens of Concordia, and William Trautmann of Hot Springs Village, Ark.
In addition to her parents and husband, Violet was preceded in death by one son, Robert Trautman; one daughter, Barbara DeMoss; one grandson, Steven Trautman; and one sister, Marvalee Martens.
