Lady Saints fall to Odessa
On Tuesday, Nov. 21, the St. Paul Lutheran High School Saints girls basketball team hosted the Odessa High School Bulldogs in a non-conference matchup. The Saints battled, but ultimately couldn’t pull out a victory, losing by a final score of 58-35.
The lady Saints couldn’t find an answer for Odessa senior Kinly Grubb, who lit the Saints up for 22 points. SPLHS also had trouble getting it going on the offensive end. Sophomore Joanna Peuster flashed some promise in scoring 10 points, but the Saints offense will look to operate more efficiently in the near future.
The loss came in the Saints first game of the year, dropping them to 0-1. Being that was also Odessa’s first game, the Bulldogs advanced to 1-0 with the win.
