Saints hoopsters overtake Odessa
On Tuesday, Nov. 28, the Saint Paul Lutheran High School boys basketball team played host to the Odessa High School Bulldogs. The Bulldogs really weren’t much of a challenge for the Saints, who went on to win 74-48.
Senior guard Mark Allen found the net five times from three-point range as part of his 23- point game. Sophomore guard Trey Beerman (one) and junior guard Elijah Muehler (three) also drained threes in the win. Dobrivoj Andrejic, a junior forward, contributed 12 points to the winning cause.
The win moves the Saints to 2-0 on the season, still yet to play a conference game. The Bulldogs fell to 0-1 after losing their first game of the season.

Saints light up Green Ridge
On Thursday, Nov. 30, the Saint Paul Lutheran High School boys basketball team traveled to Green Ridge High School for a non-conference matchup with the Tigers. The Saints were in control from the opening tipoff, proceeding to win 74-32.
Twice (first and fourth quarters) the Tigers were  held to under four points in a quarter, as they put up only two points in the game’s first quarter and three points in the final quarter.
The same could not be said for the Saints, who put up 25 points in the first quarter and another 23 in the second. Junior forward Dobrivoj Andrejic scored a game-high 19 points, as he was able to hit on nine different two-point field goals. Junior guard Elijah Mueller collected 14 points as well, hitting three three-pointers, two two-point field goals, and a free throw — all in just the first quarter.
The easy victory moves the Saints to a 3-0 record, still without seeing any conference competition. The Tigers, on the other hand, fell to 0-2 with the loss. They also previously lost to Sweet Springs High School, who, like the Saints, compete in the 1-70 Conference.
