George Wilbert Reinwald
George Wilbert Reinwald, 90, of Concordia, Missouri, died Friday, Jan. 5, 2018, at The Lutheran Nursing Home in Concordia.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Ernestville, with the Rev. James Dahlke officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs. Pallbearers are Jason Beerman, Jared Beerman, Clinton Martens, Chad Copper, Chase Reinwald, William Caldwell and Michael Niemeier. Born July 15, 1927, in Sweet Springs, Wilbert was the son of the late William Reinwald and Elva Zumbehl Reinwald. He was a 1945 graduate of Knob Noster High School, lived in rural Concordia most of his life, and was a farmer and avid horseman. He was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church and its Men’s Club. He was also a member of Concordia Saddle Club.
Survivors include six children: Carol Inman and husband Gary of Concordia, Sherry Holt and husband Bob of Greenwood, Rhonda Beerman and husband Jim of Concordia, Jeanie Copper and husband Chuck of Knob Noster, Kevin Reinwald and wife Kris of Concordia, and John Reinwald and wife Tosha of Bethany; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Reinwald of Concordia; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-granddaughters; one sister, Darlene Vogelsmeier of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Wilbert was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald Reinwald in infancy and George W. (Buddy) Reinwald Jr.; one sister, Edith Helt; and one brother, Earl Reinwald.
