Jennifer Jo Bauer, 44, of Dodgeville, Wisconsin, passed away Friday, Dec. 15, 2017, at Atrium Post-Acute Care Hospice in Lancaster, Wis., following a lengthy battle with diabetes and heart disease.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017, at Zion Lutheran Church in Corder, with Pastor Mark Junkin officiating and Donna Owens, organist. Inurnment followed at Zion Lutheran Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to Saint Paul Lutheran High School.
Born Nov. 5, 1973, in Kansas City, she was the daughter of Gary and Jo Ann (Lilleman) Bauer of Corder. Jennifer became Godís child through Holy Baptism on July 8, 1974, at Zion Lutheran Church in Corder. She professed her faith through the Rite of Confirmation at Zion Lutheran Church on March 19, 1989, and her confirmation verse, Matthew 28:20, provided great comfort to her in her final days.
Jennifer was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She attended Zion Lutheran Elementary School, Lafayette Co. C-1 Middle School, and was a 1993 graduate of Saint Paul Lutheran High School in Concordia, where she was a four-year member of the Saint Paul Singing Saints Concert Choir. She was also a member of Hitt 4-H Club and Zion Lutheran Church Youth Group.
She is survived by one son, Andrew Novotny of Corder; daughters Jordan Novotny of Corder and Serena Gianfrancesco of Wauzeka, Wis.; her parents, Gary and Jo Ann Bauer of Corder; her sister Stephanie (James) Schumaker of Warrensburg; nieces, Katie, Lauryn and Caroline Schumaker of Warrensburg; and her Godparents, Gail Lilleman and Jerry Myrick of Higginsville, and Jo Myrick of Corder.
Jennifer was preceded in death by two infant sons, Mark Aaron Novotny and Conrad Gianfrancesco; her maternal grandparents, Norman, Pearl and Ruth Lilleman; and her paternal grandparents, Hugo and Kathryn Bauer.
