Lana Jo Scott
Lana Jo Scott, 56, of Concordia, Missouri, formerly of Sweet Springs, died Sunday, April 8, 2018, at Good Shepherd Care Community in Concordia.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 12, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sweet Springs, with Pastor Dan Wing officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Sweet Springs. Born Feb. 11, 1962, in Sweet Springs, she was the daughter of the late Harlan A. Gieseke and Lois Eckhoff Gieseke, who survives of Sweet Springs. Lana was raised in Sweet Springs, where she was a 1981 graduate of Sweet Springs High School and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. On Aug. 23, 1986, she married Jerry Lee Scott, who survives of the home. Lana spent her career as a certified nurse’s aide and worked for 19 years at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg. She was proud to have worked for our veterans at the Missouri Veteran’s Home, also in Warrensburg.
In addition to her husband, Jerry, and her mother, Lois, she is survived by one daughter, Lindsey Jo Scott of the home; two sisters, Rhonda Sullivan and husband Steven of rural Marshall, and Jill Gieselman and husband Dave of Sweet Springs; as well as nieces and nephews.
