Sarah M. “Marge” Lucas, 70, of Concordia, Missouri, died Monday, April 9, 2018, at I-70 Community Hospital in Sweet Springs.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 13, 2018, at First Baptist Church of Odessa, 100 Hwy. OO, Odessa, Mo., 64076, with Pastor Terry Hodges officiating. Burial will follow at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville. A visitation will take place from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Friday at the church. Born Nov. 7, 1947, in Fayetteville, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Willis Carl Odom and Marie Sessoms Odom, who survives of North Carolina. On June 28, 1968, she married Dan R. Lucas Sr., and he preceded her in death on March 7, 2003. Marge had lived in Concordia since 1985, where she retired as the manager of the restaurant of TA truck stop. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Odessa.
In addition to her mother, Marie; she is survived by three children, Angela Bradley of Concordia, Shaun Bryson and husband Chris of St. Robert, and Dan Lucas Jr. and wife Melissa of Concordia; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six siblings: Peggy Dickerson of Odessa, and Barbara Jenkins, Wandella Royal, Willis Carl “JR” Odom, William “Bill” Odom, and Glenn Odom, all of North Carolina; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Marge was preceded in death by her father, husband, one granddaughter, Tiffani Lucas; a son-in-law, Terry Bradley; and two brothers, Steve and Wayne Odom.
