Mabel Marie Roepe Dedeke

Mabel Marie Roepe Dedeke, formally of Concordia, passed from this life to her eternal life at the age of 101 years, four months and 17 days on April 30, 2018. Her faith has always been her strength.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. May 2 at Trinity Lutheran Church, with Rev. Damian Snyder officiating. Christian burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Ernestville, with Rev. James E. Dahlke officiating. A viewing held hour before internment. Memorials are suggested to “Worship Anew” or the “Lutheran Hour.”
She was born Dec. 13, 1916 In Concordia. She was the fourth of 12 children born to Julius Roepe and Marie Jungklaus. She married Walter Christ Wilhelm Dedeke on March 3, 1935, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Emma. Their union was blessed with five children, Mary (Glenn) Bute, of Ringgold, La., Walter Eugene (June Fail), of Leavenworth, Kan., Robert (Donna Watkins), of Tulsa, Okla., Larry (Sharon Kumm) of Leavenworth, Kan., and Pamela (Allen Brill). She was grandmother to 19 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, one sister, Ruth Tebbenkamp of Marshall, and a sister-in-law, Margie Roepe of Concordia, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, three great grandchildren, a son-in-law and a daughter-in-law, six sisters and three brothers.
