Concordia High School Class of 2018 bids farewell

Cameron Cooper, valedictorian for the Concordia High School Class of 2018, welcomed visitors and spoke about the future that lies ahead of him and his fellow class members during the graduation ceremony held Friday evening at CHS. Cooper served as class president during his senior year. He is the son of Brent and Kathy Cooper, of Concordia, and was a recipient of several scholarships and awards, including a George Washington Carver Award, the Joe Mann Leadership Award, the Lafayette County Youth Court Scholarship, Missouri Bright Flight, the University of Missouri-Kansas City Chancellorís Award and Early Assurance Scholarship, and the Western Missouri Medical Center Auxiliary Scholarship, among others. Cameron plans to attend the University of Missouri-Kansas City and major in pharmacy.
