Lafayette County Achievement Day scheduled

The Lafayette County 4-H Achievement Day will be held at the Lafayette C-1 Middle School in Higginsville beginning at 12:45 p.m. on June 16, according to committee members Stephanie Nagel and Craig Rodekohr.

Events will include judging contests, public speaking, demonstrations, fashion revue, demonstrations by the Clover Kid members, and the king and queen contest.
Contestants in the queen contest include Rebecca Butters, daughter of Tim and Rhonda Butters and a member of Mighty Mo 4-H Club; Evelyn Hemmen, daughter of Lon and Melissa Hemmen and a member of Mighty Mo 4-H Club; Ryli Kesten, daughter of David and Kim Kesten and a member of Walkenezer 4-H Club; Audrey Phillips, daughter of Karmin Phillips and a member of Southwest 4-H Club and Taylor Scott, daughter of Melissa and David Scott and a member of Fairview 4-H Club. King candidates include Caleb Bergman, son of Jody and Tiffany Bergman and a member of Alma 4-H Club, and Remington Kesten, son of David and Kim Kesten and a member of Walkenezer 4-H Club.
University of Missouri Extension programs are open to all.
