Eunice Eckhoff, 85, of Sweet Springs, died Friday, July 6, 2018, at Sweet Springs Villa.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Concordia with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville. Born Nov. 14, 1932, in Concordia, she was the daughter of the late Jobe Hurd and Vernita Leas Hurd. On Nov. 19, 1948, she married Elmer Eckhoff, who preceded her in death on Oct. 29, 2003. Eunice lived in the Concordia and Sweet Springs areas her entire life and was a member of Concordia Baptist Church. In addition to being a homemaker, she retired as a supervisor from Con-Agra Frozen Foods.
Survivors include one son, Roy Eckhoff and wife Nancy of Concordia; two grandsons, Chad Eckhoff and wife Tessa, and Brian Eckhoff and wife Teri; four great-grandchildren, Tilly, Cutler, London and Beckett; as well as nieces and nephews.
Eunice was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers, Richard and Ledru Hurd.
