Woman injured in rural Lafayette County crash
A Corder woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Route AA this past Sunday, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.
The incident occurred shortly before noon near Route V when a Nissan Frontier failed to yield to a Ford Ranger and pulled into its path. The Frontier — driven by Kurt A. Brandon, 33, of Higginsville — reportedly struck the Ford on the passenger side, causing the Ford to overturn. The driver of the Ford was not injured. However, occupant Doris Brooks, 81, of Corder, sustained minor injuries. She was not wearing a safety device and was transported by ambulance to a hospital for treatment, according to the report.
