Lady Orioles split matches with Northwest, KC Lutheran

Northwest 0 (25-18, 25-22)

It wasnít easy, but the Concordia High School Orioles volleyball team took out the Northwest (Hughesville) High School in their nonconference matchup, 2-0.

Freshman Hali Deatherage had four aces on 14 attempts, while fellow freshman Cate Cooper contributed 10 digs.

Freshman Landry Yount and sophomore Carys Brockman recorded all of the teamís assists, with each collecting nine.

Sophomores Cassidy Warren (five) and Kailey Ohrenberg (seven) led the team in kills.

The victory moved the Orioles to 3-6 (0-3).

Tuesday, Sept. 25
Concordia 0
Lutheran (Kansas City) 2 (16-25, 15-25)

Despite a solid effort coming off of the victory the night prior, the Concordia High School Orioles fell to Lutheran (Kansas City) High School, falling 2-0.

Team play was still the goal for the Orioles, who got a team-high four kills from sophomore Warren. They also picked up five assists from freshman Yount. Yount also had two aces.

Freshmen Hali Deatherage (nine) and Cooper (eight) led the team in digs, while sophomore Brockman also had seven.

The loss moved the Lady Oís to 3-7 (0-3).
