Lafayette County Clerk’s Office issues voter registration reminder
LEXINGTON — The last day to register to vote for the Nov. 6 election is Wednesday, Oct. 10. Voters may register at most of the city halls in the county or in the Lafayette County Clerk’s Office from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Newly registered voters are encouraged to verify their registration prior to Election Day by contacting the County Clerk’s Office.
Absentee ballots may be voted in the County Clerk’s Office until 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5. The office is open daily for absentee voting from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., as well as from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 3. Individuals may request absentee ballots by mail. The request form is available online at www.lafayettecountymo.com or by calling the office at 660-259-4315. The last day to request a ballot by mail is Oct. 30. Voters are encouraged to request forms early due to potential delays in the postal system.
In addition to the candidates, there are four proposed Constitutional Amendments and three proposed Propositions and a Judicial Ballot. Voters may access Fair Ballot Language for each of the amendments and propositions at https://www.sos.mo.gov/elections/petitions/2018ballotmeasures.
