Beta Psi Master holds October meeting, social
Beta Psi Master held its Oct. 1 meeting at the home of Judy Elling, with seven members present. Mary Vogt, president, called the meeting to order.
Phyllis Mieser announced upcoming birthdays and anniversaries.
Donna Wienberg discussed the upcoming social to Hermann, which was scheduled for Oct. 20.
The social was attended by Julie Dieckhoff, Elling and Valerie Hinck. With just three attending, it was decided to go to the Warsaw Heritage Days Festival. They toured booths, as well as the Community Building and various stores in the town. A benefit for a couple was being held, so that is where the three ate barbecue.
During the meeting, coats were collected for those in need.
Elling gave the program on “National Parks in the USA.” She showed a PowerPoint presentation of the 10 most popular national parks.
A quiz was also given to the members on the different parks. She also shared the small National Parks Passport book, in which visitors can put park stickers and stamp dates of their visits.
The next meeting will be held Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. at Dieckhoff’s home. She will be in charge of the program. Members are reminded to bring canned food goods for the food pantry.
